What's so special about it? It's just a passat... A damn stupid looking one at that. Being all lowered.

That is a hot p-sat , all the tiny little changes make the difference , definately when its on the summer wheels. It rides on air, which suits the car perfectly IMHO. Sadly a while ago some punks vandalised that car , but they found them. They are probably in for a nasty suprise sooner or later.

I' m going to make my car "look stupid" in the future then, As soon as I find me some ABT wheels and the financials are go , a weitec kit is on it's way. I made up my mind I'm going to lower it. a bit

Lowered cars look better. And the lower it is, the better it looks. Hence that Passat looks bangin'.

x2 it may spoil the ride sometimes, but it sure does look way better

That's what I do not get about lowering cars. Sure it may look better to you, I'm not arguing about taste here. But why would you spoil the ride or even introduce dangerous ride characteristics because the chassis was never designed to be that low.

It's like those "german-style", or what are they called, wheels. They look horribly dangerous to me.

there is some truth in what you say, but that probably only applies if you go ridiculously low, and when it comes to spoiling the ride : it's probably not that bad , and in perfect conditions it may even be better. It really depends how low you go , what kind of setup you are using...., for example that passat rides on air, its brilliant, you can ride comfortably and low it suits the car perfectly , you aren't going to do trackdays with a passat tdi anyway

as far as my lowering plans are concerned : I will get me some good quality material, everything nice and legal, it will not produce any dangerous ride characteristics. Then again I probably will only lose about 4-5 cm of height.

edit : the shocks on which I am riding now are crappy anyway , so I may even get a small improvement in the ride

It's not the height. It's dem black steelies.

    black steelies = awesome status.
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

Yep. Wide rims with tyres that are too narrow.

aen't stretched tires good for reducing tire wall flex but bad for tire strength?
