    BMW E30 M3 Vs nissan skyline R32 GT-R

both shot to legendary status in early 90's
    both has many die-hard fans
    both were GT/Touring car legends
both were road versions of race machines
    both handles great

and both are available as used vehicles in mint condition(the M3 is very slightly better maintained by the owner) priced within my bank account's reach, with these two cars's salesman in constant contact on my cellphone.

    please help me decide...

If this is for real, take the E30 M3. It's one of the few BMW's I'd buy.

personally i would go for the skyline, if for nothing else than the rarity. i think it would turn many more heads than the E30, but it all depends on what you're going for. that's my 2 cents tho

I'd take the M3 mainly because I like sleepers and the E30 M3 looks so damn awesome. I know it's not much of a sleeper by itself, but compared to the R32 it is.
WIth the E30 M3 you'll get true car connoisseurs looking at your cars. It has more class than the R32. I saw an E30 M3 about a year ago whilst I was driving and gave the guy a thumbs up. Got a nod of recognition in return.

the M3 is lighter, the GTR more reliable. both have terrible interiors, imo, so take your pick i guess...

M3- probably more expensive and slower, but you won't look like a total jackass in it. Plus people in 911s will not attempt to race you.
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

    Strangest comparison yet...

M3 for me, I think. Purity > technology.

Thou somehow gay, I preferred this, coupled with Nissan's SR20DETT for reliability. (yayaya soul's lost.... bla bla bla..... )

There are only two types of R32 GT-R, super heavily modified and backyard boosted.
M3s come in has been raced or has been cared for flavors.

Any exceptions you find only prove my rule.

They come in twin turbo now?
Horsepower wins races. Torque pulls trailers.

yes, i agree, S14's are notorious nightmare rebuild job makers. but bore them up to 2.5L (the one i'm after is 2.3L euro spec), with short stroke, 7000 RPM's within easy reach.

but the SR20 will be more economical in the long run. with the expense of cold stares and hate mails from BMW fans.

anyway, i'm not planning to modify them too much. just reconditioning and internal rebuild if not done yet. and a wheel & tire upgrade (if a 245/R17 advan A048 fits) yes. i'm not one of those ricers. this forum's got taste!

FYI, the skyline & M3 are almost equally priced where i live. and a 911 is priced 2 times as much as the skyline.

the M3 seems to be the more tasteful choice.

thanks, i'm going for the M3.
