Thanks goodness, I thought you were one of those fanboys. Radical SR8 for me, but since it's not in the list, I go with the Dauer 962 LM.

What is the difference in time between the old and new circuits? I wonder how good the Radical SR8 would have done on the old circuit... barring this, what would be the absolute fastest car 'round the ring? I'm thinking maybe a 917-30 might due the trick - though it may lose a lot of time on the turns due to lack of modern suspension and the like, the sheer power on the main straight may be enough to get it the fastest ever time. This is really dumb though as it is all speculation.

The Dauer, The Mac F1, or the GT1. Maybe the CLK GTR but I'm not real sure.

Definetly a race car. The Speed 12 could not corner as well I'd bet, but maybe it would. It is too hard to tell.

Fair. Then what can you think of? F1 cars probbaly can't tackle it as it is too rough. The 956 did a good job. Hell, that little Radical SR8 or say, a new Ultima GTR with 800 hp might make a dent too even. Maybe something like an R8 or R10? Peugeot's new 908?

In my opinion the Nurburgring is won or lost in the corners, therefore something nimble and light, but powerful is needed. Those trackday specials like the Radical are a good bet. As for modern racers bear in mind that they are designed for silky smooth racetracks, and that at the Nurburgrin without a significant change of setup, they'd probably be a handful.
