That's the first thing I did with all the AWD cars I've got in the career garage! In fact, the game messes-up again with that because you can set it to 100% rear and it handles no differently to 20 / 80 front / rear...and the front wheels still spin first.

In the game, I've found just about every stock AWD car to have huge amounts of understeer. I have it on pretty good () authority that the LP640 / 997T / Gallardo etc. don't do this in reality...so what's up?

the fact that the front tires spin in first could even been explained:
with more torque to the rear, the momentum trying to turn the car instead of the tires around the axle of the rear wheels is higher, therefore the front could (marginally) flip a little, creating a lack of force pushing the tires to the ground, therefore less grip and therefore less torque required to spin the front tires.

    otherwise, It's just a game.

Is there expected to be a Forza 3?

I'm still waiting for Gran Turismo 5.

Gran Turismo 4 will have to do I guess.

    have you ever tried Enthusia?
the simulation of smaller and slower cars is much better than in GT4.
    and definitely a better AI.
S.C.A.R. is another good, but short, substitute.

What I miss most of all about Enthusia was the way automatic gearboxes worked. Very realistic. And some fantastically oddball cars.

Gran Turismo and Forza could certainly learn a thing or two from it.

would there be licensing issues with using cars made by companies no longer in existence?
like something similar to how they don't allow cross-manufacturer engine swaps.

Well if anything, wouldn't cars of dead manufacturers have less licensing and legal issues?

I mean if it's rubbish it doesn't matter...

I suppose the majority of those dead brands, or the interesting ones, are property of some giant as usual, like Rover and Ford.

I should take a look at that. Thing is, I'm looking more at PS3 games, and practically, there are none.

I like my gaming system to work as advertised and not get the Red Ring of Death whenever it feels like it, thank you very much.

that's true too. I'm sticking with the PS2 atm, with the PS3 still being freaking expensive, and the Xbox cheaper but still out of the range price I would like to spend for a gaming system. I'm not that much into gaming lately, so I can explain to myself spending 300€ for Xbox+Forza2.

I got the PS3 for $250, so I couldn't resist. Plus my dad really wanted Blu Ray- he's a big home theater guy. It was much easier to justify a purchase when I wasn't buying something all for myself.
