That Viper was all over the freakin' place. Still prefer the Veyron.

Wow so a Veyron which weighs roughly 2200kg only lost by less than 4 seconds even though the Viper weighs somewhat less than 1800kg.

I guess with that much power AWD is a must.
Power, whether measured as HP, PS, or KW is what accelerates cars and gets it up to top speed. Power also determines how far you take a wall when you hit it
    Engine torque is an illusion.

I'm not a huge fan of the Veyron, but as 2ndclass said, if the Veyron was this:

    then the Viper would be:

I'd imagine the Veyron would completley destroy the Viper around corners because it can destroy pretty much anything, but I suppose the price difference pretty much makes up for that.

The Viper would be more brutal, more effective, and a whole lot meaner.........Like the video, the finesse of the Veyron like the rifle would loose out against the brash and mean Viper (launcher).

The margin between the Veyron and Vipers MPH shows the true difference. The Veyron doesn't have as much power and torque...........

I think Bugatti should think about loosing weight and send that overpriced pig on a diet. I mean 2200kg on a supercar using all the fancy composite materials with limited luggage and interior room is inexcusable..........

the engine/gearbox combo is mega heavy (600-700kg??) and the necasary controls/ancilaries to make it a comfortable/cooled/flexible meke it heavy - even if it is all carbon fibre and titanium metal dashboard switches - no wonder Vw loose money on it..

The Viper is impressive but is just so unstable, at least this lets us know that some of the TT cars out there can run with/beat the veyron. The Veyron could probably be driven while drinking a cappuccino and reading shakespeare, definitely very impressive.

If you want to smell burned rubber and gas in your super-fast-car get the Viper. Otherwise, the Veyron is a more royal choice.

I think that the real test would go something like this.

"You drive around town the viper in front of the veyron, nothing pushed, nothing smoking and pull up next to a fine lady. The owner of the viper spouts off that his car beats the other by 4 seconds in a standing mile. Completly unimpressed she walks back to the veyron and gets in."

I think she'd be more interested in wealth than looks.
