BMW 318iS Coupe
Ford Focus 1.4 CL 5dr
The beemer has more mileage than my 20 year old Pulsar which is something i'd be worried about, but it shouldnt be too much of an issue. I'd probably choose the beemer myself, but the Focus by all means isnt a considerable step back or anything.
I am the Stig
Well for 10 years, the BMW doesn't have an obscene amount of kms on the odometer. I'd still take the focus though, when u can afford to really sink ur teeth in then take risks, but there's value in being safe.

Cheers for the advice guys but it's all come to nothing really because a colleague at work is selling his 2002 Alfa 156 1.6 T-Spark Torismo for £2700 ish. It's done over 100,000 miles but that was by his brother in law on the motorway so i know the car has been well looked after. I'm going to give it a spin in a n hour or so. I'll report back later.
no not yet mate, just getting fed up with the 'scort

Visca Catalunya!
Nice.
Alfa > Focus & 318
No competition here. PROVIDED that BMW is a Cabrio E36.
Get the 156.
