    McRae's helicopter crashed.

    Colin McRae feared dead in helicopter crash - Telegraph

    And it looks like he may have been on board...

    His helicopeter (registed in his name apparently) on his own land, it's not looking good.

    what!?....

    it says FEARED dead. Maybe he's not? this is horrible I actually feel a sincere loss at this. He's been one of my great sporting heroes since i was a child.

    If you look around various Rally forums etc then it's pretty much been confirmed.

    I just don't wanna believe this. It upsets me to a huge level. I've always been a huge fan of McRae and his rallying work, and i find it deeply upsetting to hear this news.

    R.I.P Col, you were a true British legend.

    I think all of us at UCP should have an avatar that has something to do with Colin for a while to pay our respects.


    This has to rank along with losing Ayrton Senna

    For me, definitely. Throughout my upbringing there hasnt been a bigger hero in motorsports to me than Colin Mcrae, I watched him at his peak of rallying while playing his games and watching him progress as he went on. For my generation he was a legend above all when it came to rallying and he was a true motorsports personality. I will miss him dearly..
