note the . I have heard that the 2 turbos in the 997 are very good at avoiding lag but i still think the V12s lag wont be any worse. I can see where Kitdy is coming from regarding peaky diesels but i beleive other factors will contribute to a good torque curve.

On what premise are you basing this of of?
Without turbos, diesels would put out miserable hp/L figures.
I have yet to see a naturally aspirated diesel with good hp/L in relation to gasoline engines.
I would like to see it attempted.
