Google knows all!
Could be a sensor, could be vacuum issues, could be.. etc etc etc. I'd suggest taking it to a local garage and seeing what they say, somewhere that you can trust.
Check under the bonnet where you see the wire that controls the throttle moving. There is a screw there on which the metal piece that the wire is tied to is resting. That screw there controls your idling RPM.
If you undo that screw a little bit your idling RPM should drop, subsequently if you do it up more, your idle RPM is going to go up. This is an easy fix if you drive a standard tranny. If it's automatic I'm not sure that's gonna work.
I can't give u the correct technical names for them because i don't know them. I just know a friend who had the same problem on his Ford Probe and that's how we took care of his and then he had no problem at all. Though his was only a slight adjustment problem, i don't know if it's the same for you though. Something else might be the problem.
Is this happening at traffic lights or what?
Things to check -
Idle Air Valve
Mass Airflow sensor
Could be one of them.
yeah..ill try that..though i know how that works and im pretty sure its not the sensor..basically..the revs rise while the motor is running..this is wihtout me touvhing the accelerator mnd you..so its not normal..i might try changing the coils and spark plugs etc..might be an accelerator cable problem..thanks btw
