    It is what it says.

The Matra Bagheera had 2 main phases and 2 models.
    The Mark1 was a 1275 engine.
The Mark2 - which is what this is is the 1442 Chrylser engine.
'S' model and 'X' model, this looks an 'X'/
Terrible rust buckets, so anyone thinking about buying this should pay very close attention.
Especially at the hole where the wiper motor is. Ppushing up underneath the front wondscreen at that point usually ends up in coming back out into fresh air

Got 2 and a galvanzised chassis

As he says, it's certainly the carb setup and he's also got it right about a leak. would recommend a complete overhaul of the carbs and converting the lights to electric lift/lower. The standard car uses the intake manifold vacuum and stores it in a tube that forms part of the rear suspension. The seals go on these and the lights are VERY slow going up/down and the engine runs lumpy !

Going for a song if the body is as sound as he suggests.

Most of the comoponents were taken from Simca, Renualt, Peugeot, Citroen parts bins.

Would be concerned about getting parts in USA/Canada but are available mail order from matramagic in UK and delecour in Paris.

3-seats abreast can take 3 adults and is a real head turner on the street.

Good fun car, but takes a lot of effort to keep the speed up and a willingness to use the throttle to steer the rear. Not a fast car as it used a Crylser 180 floorpan which was quite heavy.

You can find them in Europe with Fiat Twin Cams and Alfa V6s.
Fastest I've seen had a Brabham race engine and transaxle fitted AND he still had a boot

But a ar that needs a competent mechanic to keep it in condition and running, so caveat emptor

You can find more history and details at www.matrasport.dk

Should we start a fund for NoOne, so that he can buy this? It's fairly local for him

    I love that front-three-seater layout!

Sorry jargon difference - my first job was in Chrysler parts department of local garage.
a "parts bin" is the box the parts are deliverd and/or stored in in a parts department.
It's not the garbage, though some of the parts should be there

Please don't, it's likely a rust-bucket. 90% of them are and consume all your free time trying to keep it at bay. Trust me I've got 2 ( reality 1 and a 1/2 - told you they're rust buckets )

I've always wondered why all cars in Europe from that era rusted SO badly.
They ALL did and yet each country had it's onw steel industry

Had to be something they were doing to reduce costs
