I'm with IB4R, I like (some) Mercs. Especially V8 engined AMGs.

the Sl65 is quite overkill for that purpose.
the pre-restyling version was one of the few MB to be capable of beating the ESP, but it wasn't exactly a good thing.

I'm here to say SLR. I know everyone hate it, it's ugly, it's not a driver car bla bla bla...I like it, I would use it as a daily drive, but I have two problems: I don't have so much money (or money at all right now), I would be completely scarred by the possibility of finding a scratch on it (or on any other super exotic I would like to own).
Even if I had the money, I would still be scarred by that.

I think there were shots on UCP earlier but these are worse than the ones I saw before. Those four headlights are brutal and awkwardly shaped.

The twin fog lamps look a bit ricey too.

    true.

the internal headlamps are somehow difficult to define, the hide themselves in the lines of the front.
probably it's good thing, because they look awful.

I'm getting the Chinese knock off vibe from this as well. From the rear it looks good, but it still has the Asian look (reminds me of a Hyundai for some reason). The front is just awful with how the head lamps look and the fog lamps are no better. Maybe it will grow on me as I see it more but as of now this is a big step in the wrong direction in my opinion.

Wasn't the old E-Class so much better than this? It was nice and simple and understated and refined and had those nice double oval headlights... This is just a mess of ugly headlamps and foglamps.

agree, this reminds me a lot of the first double-oval headlamps gen, which I never liked much.

We had the saloon, now we have the coupe (the old CLK to you and me).

I think it looks rather good.

I don't get this trend of enlarging the rear wheel arch, like on this car and the buick LaCrosse. it's not a bad thing, just a common feature lately. I think MB started it with the CL btw.

It looks good yeah, even if the CLK tended to loose its appeal in a short time with the previous gens. good looking cars, but they lacked the presence. the present 3-series coupe probably has the same problem, while the A5 and Brera, in different ways, still work to me.
