yes but on that particular bit i don't see why two is needed there? especially with the curve of the most eastward connecting bit? unless you wanted to turn that curve into a misshapen roundabout lol

    Roundabouts are good, Test drivers.

They want to be able to run 3 layouts at once - club, national and drift circuits so they need more than one connecting strip to achieve that. They'd also need different kerbing and corner layout like camber etc. Kerbs in the wrong place can be dangerous, just look at Queensland Raceway.

yeah, i just don't really see why they'd need to isolate one corner for all that, the others separate the track effectively into two sizable lengths....

I cant see how they will have three circuts running at the same time - Theres only two entrances into the pits - Both from that image are from one seperated track.

Interesting point that one. I suppose its unlikely they'd have all layouts with races happening all at once. Could you imagine the noise from the Club and National circuits holding races at once. Maybe on the drift circuit they'll just have a mock pits setup somewhere else on track, or ferry them into the main pits.

Who knows.. They couldn't hold a real drift event (Drift Australia) with the largest circuit (pits) running a race regardless of the pit issue - the drift section starts half way down the straight and runs anti-clockwise into the pits that way.

If they want F1 there, just have Hermann Tilke redesign bits of it and Bernie will cave in.

Pity they cant keep turn 1 as it is now, never raced on it but the NSW IP guys reckon turn 1 is a great corner that rewards guys with big balls.

Hopefully it will happen, money spent on a local circuit is better than money being pissed up against a wall for a street circuit.

Will be alright for the driftos as well I guess.... I still dont get it though

They could always modify the layout to include the current turn 1, then around the outside of that have a tighter turn 1 like Paul Ricard.
