Because you are one to talk about decisive action like that......
Regardless. Buy something fun. it's the only way to make up for your worthless life, 'Ballz

yes, because audi quattros are within 7 thousand australian dollars.
And thats an observation IB4R made, not an insult - chillax.
Half these suggestions are waay out of my budget, and not what i want, I would like to pull the car mostly appart and build as much of it myself as possible. ergo cheap RWD(or dynamically acceptable FWDS), simple, leightweight.
A porsche of any calibre is out of my league, as are audi quattros.

a S13 or a RWD R32 would be easy to get your hand on, and the aftermarkets on them are just mind blowing! i personally would be leaning towards the S13 just for the simple fact i like the low...ness of them... nothing to scientific really just they look sick and low :P
the mini option wasn't that bad, they have some good bits to bolt on now, get a clubbie very cheaply now
please dont get a TR7 V8.... or a Triumph of any assortment please for the love of god just dont!!!!

Then:
034 MOTORSPORT for engine tuning.
Upgrade suspension, brakes, gearbox... 034 will ship international...
Id go a sr20det s13 mate, cheap for bits, good suspension and reasonable brakes to start with, can be made much lighter around the 1150kg mark. Easy to mod gradually and a HUGE aftermarket range for engine, brakes, suspension mods.
Or a R32 GTS-good chassis and lighter than the r33/34 but it has the POS
rb20.
A KE70 rolla will be okay has very similar suspension to the sprinter mcpherson front with coil rear end live axle. A 4AGE 20v silver top is good for about 165hp/t50box and the suspension is easy to mod with coilover fronts and some decent shock springs on the back. If down the track you want to go balls out, turbo kits are cheap and the silvertop 20v has the same internals as the GZE supercharged models just needs a thicker head gasket for boost. It will make a reliable 230-280hp and you can blow Clutches doors off in a straightline
All the the above mods for all the cars can be done gradually when funds are available
Audis and that are good out the box but to modify them its going to cost a fortune and in the end the Silvia/Corolla will be quicker anyway. Plus there is a certain satisfaction on a track day when some guy comes up and says WTF is that so quick

Hers how a Audi quattro goes against some other cars in the same class mate.... it gets hosed by FWD Civic FFS
The Audi that races in NSW in the IP series has had PLENTY spent on it and comes mid pack in a very soft feild of cars,
if the top guys where racing it would battle to be top 15

a question of funding not wanting
i'd like to go with flared wheel arches from a 930 turbo... don't think i can really justify it though.
Andreas Preuninger, Manager of Porsche High Performance Cars: "Grandmas can use paddles. They aren't challenging."
quattro's dont come too light, nor handle well with the engine infront of the front wheels.
low power, and ugly to boot.
I am leaning towards another S13, as i know the scene, and i know the car.
