    2010 Mustang, Spotted.

    Pics Source:Jalopnik:
As expected, the Mustang redesign was more of a light surgery rather than a complete overhaul. Me, I like what I see. Being no Mustang expert, I can´t really tell if the new taillight shapes and the line running below them are new, but i really like them, as well as the proportions. thoughts?

I hope its smaller and lighter than the current one.
If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.

Ah yeah Americans don't care about performance and fuel consumption.

As long as it's a V8 and 300+ hp they'll be very pleased. And RWD of course.

maybe some inches and some pounds, but nothing more...

as you said, it seems that they don't actually care about performance and fuel consumption.
bringing Euro models to their shores isn't nothing but an ad since their main engine seems to be a 3.5 liter V6 on 4000 lbs cars...but we European are no more so far from there

The mustang weighs 3500lbs and has a 4.0/4.6 L engine. Shows what you know! (V6 only weighs 3350)

The Shelby GT500 is the boat version coming in at 4000lbs, and 500HP. Car and driver found its track performance comparable to the Audi R8 though.

Ford US has cars with four cylinder engines available.

But yes mainly we have the small cars with small engines because that's what we need.

    True.

Then again V8s may be fuel inefficient, but the power and soundtrack are nice. If only Ford imported the Mustang here.

We won't talk about the focus because its obviously small. Its the best selling Ford in the U.S. though. Next probably the Taurus (i.e. the Five-Hundred after Ford decided killing all their decades of legacy branding by renaming their lineup with all cars that started with F, like the Fusion, Focus, Five-Hundred and Fmustang was a bad idea)

Tauris is also 3,500 and a V6. Seriously Ford doesn't do a lot of V8s, even the majority of mustangs are V6es and under 3,500LBs.

What you should be looking at is the SUV behemoths, but they're actually not the best sellers: no, what are the best sellers in the U.S.? Trucks! The F-150 and Chevy Silvarado are the best selling US vehicles.

And, while both trucks are well over two-tons, its understandible why they aren't made with racing performance in mind.

actually, a neighbor of my GF have a Mustang , but the sound isn't as good as I was expecting, until he bought some aftermarket thingy.
but for the money it costs there, it's quite a bargain for our standard.

performance and efficiency are quite related.

and there are a few differences and not so relevant in this particular argument between trucks, suvs or just overweighted cars
