    Major Forum Revisions

    Good day,

This forum was first created over five years ago and since then we have changed little to the basic layout of the individual forums. All we did was add a few forums and sub-forums. Now we want to make some drastic changes to somewhat compact the forum and keep the discussions a little more centralized. More importantly we will add an 'events' section where you can report on local (automotive) events in your area. We noticed that a lot of you go out and attend fantastic events / shows and your work certainly deserves more attention. To add to the appeal we are playing with the idea to highlight one of the reported events on the main page each month. After discussions in the moderator and premium forums we have come up with the following new layout:

    Automotive
    1. General automotive and news forum
    2. Racing
    3. Classic cars
    4. Car comparison
    5. Technical discussion
    6. User's rides (Models subforum)

    General
    1. Multimedia (incl photography, chop and high-res hide-out)
    2. Events (non-automotive subforum)
    3. Gaming
    4. Miscellaneous
    5. Premium
    6. Website discussion

It is important to stress that it is and always has been our objective to preserve all posts and images submitted to the forums. So threads may move as a result of these changes, but they will certainly not disappear.

Thanks again for your time and support.

    Kind regards,

    Wouter Melissen

We are experiencing a slight problem with the Galah Sessions thread however, so the following members will unfortunately suffer from a slightly lowered post count:

    SlickHolden - minus 855 posts
    IBrake4Rainbows - minus 711 posts

    Otherwise it's all good.

    Damn spammers

I like the idea of 'Events' section, cause it is sometimes hard to realize where to post a thread - should it be 'Multimedia' or, say, 'Racing'...

Just wondering...only one forum for general automotive and news. it would be quite overcrowded in a short time, and probably a lot of active thread still active would pass in the second page. not a real problem, it would just make them less noticeable.
they would be just a click away, so I'm fine with that. sorta.

It would basically be the combination of the the four continent forums, which would not mean over 30 active threads per day.

Just go for the "New posts" section. Makes much easier to browse through unread posts.

In fact I rarely visit the Forum's main page.

Before I knew about that function, I ended up missing a lot of stuff due to not checking every section.

Now I know it is key.
