Being different for the sake of being different often results in oddness such as this.
Trying too hard to be different is a design faux pah.
If I walked into that auto expo with a gun, the designer of this car would be the first to go.
Absolute disservice to the Lagonda name.
The Wedge was unusual, but not hideous. They even had the shaded line drawings to guide their way and they got nowhere near those - if they had it may have gone close to working.

No Mr. Craig, I expect you to die! On the inside. Of heartbreak. You emo bitch
Have to disagree. One of THE ugliest cars I've ever seen in real life AND in photos.
There are strong parallels. The "wedge" was an extreme take on what all car designers were doing at the time. This seems to do the same with huge deep gaping grille ( Audi ), slab-side ( Chrisyler 300 ), tiny windows ( Alfa, Opel et al ) and ugly rear end ( Bangle-BMWs )
It kind of looks like the hybrid bastard lovechild of a Lincoln MK T and an Audi Q7.

Urgh, that's just the generic rubbish that we don't want. Why not look back to the beautiful Lagonda Le Mans racers of the past for inspiration, not just taking the fashionable chrome and lard, then blinging it up.
Buying a car and not driving it is like buying a meal and not eating it.

The wedge is cool, this thing is just horrid. Also, making something that's sort of squat and SUVish in this day of 'omfg suvs are bad mmkay' seems an odd idea. Still, it takes all sorts I suppose..
If an SUV ever got down syndrome, it would look like that!!
ehm, no thank you, I have had enough rubbish for today.
it's quite hideous, it's disproportioned, it's the usual stuff you would expect from BMW and Audi, with a bit of Toyota (the Bat pick-up). definitely not good looking or even worth the name.

They seriously can't do this!

Alright.
This, ugly looking lump of metal, is an afront to a great brand which used to stand for fast luxury. It is car for people who can't understand cars, for the sort of people who forced Aston into making an automatic DBS or BMW into making the X6. It's for the sort of person who has to have the latest and biggest object to show to his friends because he has to compensate for having a small penis.
It's not even an SUV, doesn't seem to have much ground clearance, so it's not practical off road. Rear visibility seems to be awful, and the grille makes Audi's look like the on the Opel Calibra. Aston Martin said they wouldn't do an SUV. They might as well have done it, it wouldn't be as bad. This car makes the Cayenne look like a good car and the Bentley Continental GT like an interesting one.
And talk about being in touch with the times. In the middle of a credit crunch I'm sure a million tonne monster that does half a mile to the gallon will be appreciated anywhere in the world. And it's not like Aston Martindidn't have he ingredients to make a great car, they had. Thy had the right engine, the right chasis, even the desginers. Alas, they hadtofail in every single aspect. This car has no redeeming feature whatsoever.
Now I know why all Astons look the same. Because if they had to change the design the resulting car would be so horrible it'd give children nightmares.
Happy?
