"Kimi, can you improve on your [race] finish?"
"No. My Finnish is fine; I am from Finland. Do you have any water?"
The S8 is the last sporty luxury sedan I would consider.
the point of their AWD/4WD systems is that they are greed and don't want to send some money to find a way to send more than 250 bhp trough the rear wheels only.
and probably there are people thinking the four rings on the grille are there because of the quattro system.

They don't deliver sporty performance. But they deliver in other areas (comfort, luxury, NVH, straight line performance and image).
That does it for a 40-year old. But 20 year olds don't buy A4 and A6's, so job done for Audi.
The 20 year old buys the MX5 Mk1 and everyone is happy

I can tell you that they aren't very comfortable. If you want comfort there other much better options.
As for straight line performance again, there are competent options for much less money than what an Audi costs.
As for image, well...
And Damiano is right, there's plenty of 20 year olds that think Audis are great.
Lack of charisma can be fatal.
Visca Catalunya!
I am comparing to similar priced cars in their category, i.e. Mercedes / BMW etc.

The Audi image is similar to a Mercedes / BMW / Volvo / Saab i.e. luxury family cars.
Yes, but since they are premium models, few 20 year olds can by them. Unless their parents can provide it, in which case it becomes a car that the 20 year old buys with the PERMISSION of his dad, which is a completely different thing. But let's not go into shopping patterns and family decision making processes

I was serious, teenagers love Audis, it's not only about their fathers.
When I was 18 I was dreaming of fitting a Integra Type R engine in a mk1 Elise.
The average rich douche bag 18 guy is dreaming of a diesel A3, or even (sorry Albert) a 120d, even if he could afford, and daddy would pay, even for a 135 or whatever it's a really sporty and young car.
I personally know a guy who wanted a Mini R53.
He and his father went to the dealer, and the seller convinced the father to test drive a Cooper S JCW. He was in love and ready to buy. The son still wanted the Cooper D.
period.
