According to the VP of International sales at Mosler, this car is/was at Corvette Mike's under some warranty repair. He said when it came in, all it had done was a new steering wheel & brake kit, nothing more.

Hehe...and how would you like me to prove that?
Here, try this thread: http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/forum...build-car.html
My apologies, the VP of Global Operations, Jill.
This vehicle is currently at Corvette Mike's for a warranty repair. The engine is still stock as delivered and no weight reductions appear to have been made other than changing out the steering wheel (that contained an airbag when delivered) and changing to drilled/slotted rotors.
Thank you,
Jill Wagner

If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.

I don't reject your claim out of hand, the guy who owns the P3/4 sometimes posts here after all.Originally Posted by gunman

Not saying that I believe any of the claims, but some of the people posting are misreading the article, including the original poster.
Nowhere does the article say the car can do 0-150 mph in 2.5 sec.
It says Gocha "claims" it will do 0-100 km/h in 2.5 sec.
That would be roughly 0-62 mph in 2.5 sec.
That is roughly in the realm of possibility.
even if the engine is standard?
Andreas Preuninger, Manager of Porsche High Performance Cars: "Grandmas can use paddles. They aren't challenging."
No, not going off of what the Mosler rep said.
But is she certain that the car in the article is the exact same car she's referring to?
I'm saying that based on the other "claims" in the article, that a 2.5 sec 0-62 is possible, and that it never said 0-150 mph in 2.5 sec.
this is worst than saying the car does a 0-150 mph in 1 second.Nicknamed "The Land Shark", this car weighs a full 250 kg (551 lbs) less than the already lightened GTR XX, coming in at 861 kg (1898 lbs) with its fuel tanks full. Yes, we said "tanks", as in plural. This car runs on a multi-fuel system using petrol, methanol, hydrogen, and ethanol. Gocha claims that the use of multiple fuels means he was able to register his car as a "hybrid" in California, meaning he gets to take this monster into the often wide-open carpool lanes of Los Angeles!

I cant listen to outragous claims when the guy telling us is named Gocha. Just to dang close to gotcha.

no lie.
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.
At first this thread made me /facepalm, but now that I think of it.. this Gocha guy is pretty awesome for his BS on the car community. That hybrid part for the HOV lane had me lolling.
