    Neglegted forum ???

This forum seems to be a lot slower on the posting side of it than a couple of months back. Can it be the boom Facebook has that lured a lot of posters away?? Hopefully not....i think all the to be posters are slaving away to counter the economical resess

its a bit of the summer slump. more people outside, or not at university and regularly on their computer. happens every year, it will pick up again in a few months.

its not so much a slump as when you consider how active the forum was 5 years ago when i became a member. there were also more forum sections etc. maybe there's a big flashy car forum out there that I dont know about where everyone went

also true, there are definitely fewer regular poster, but i would counter that there are more "super-posters" people that post more than several posts per day. i do also prefer the current crop than the ones that were here 5 years ago.

I know I haven’t quite made my impression at UCP yet but I must say that I do prefer the higher consistency of posters on this site compared with other sites.

I kind of arrived on the tail end of (or after) this surge of postingness so I can't really say, but I think it's just people growing up. That generation of UCPer has moved on. Either from home to college, from home to work, or from college to work and doesn't have the same time/patience anymore to peruse these forums.

I'd say it's deserted, not neglected.

That's pretty cool. But I wonder, does it factor in registered user as opposed to just a visitor? It could be quite different.

agreed, i don't have to check in that often to keep up with the forum topics, there's no crap to wade through.
