    I had swine flu

    Serious.
I went to Buenos Aires last month with my gf and some friends and got sick 3 days after a I returned. Then I spent 10 days at home resting and all and today the results came in. I had swine flu but normal medication and rest solved it for me.

Goes to show how I'm a tough SOB.

I think I had it too this past week but it was rather mild. I'm not sure though since I don't have health insurance and didn't want to pay a doctor hundreds of dollars to confirm I was a bit sick. One of the Mexican cooks at work was in Mexico City when the outbreak occurred.

Sorry Homem, but the people that die of the H1N1 flu usually only succumb to it due to a pre-existing health issue. For a regular, healthy person, this strain is no more dangerous than the normal flu that we see every day. The only reason why there was such a big deal made about it was the fact that it was a different strain than we had seen before. Hate to burst your bubble, but statistically, you are more likely to die from your house hold influenza virus.

Well, all that matters is that you're alive and well.

imo, it's not that bad of a flu. it's feels just like having ordinary flu.

Yeah, definitely. I have some allergies so I'm used to sneezing and a running nose, but the flu just beat me to bed. I started feeling ill friday night and was absolutely useless from saturday to monday. All I did was sleep and watch TV, I lost all my appetite.

I started feeling better tuesday and I guess I was back at normal on friday again.

    Now I'm tip top.

Swine flu is nothing to write home about. There are people at my University that have had it, it's just flu. They got rid of it through good hygiene and rest...

No, impossible. Everyone knows - through our media's completely level-headed and un-sensationalized coverage of the swine flu - that if you contract H1N1, you will become very ill, and you will die.

So, this leaves three possibilities, one, a relative of Homem is posting as him as some sort of coping mechanism for their loss. Two, Homem is bluffing to look like a tough guy, or, more likely, H1N1 turned him into a zombie and he is posting as the living dead.
