i couldn't find the mini clubman thread so i'll put it here.

forget the bloated BMW offerings. this is the closest you'll get to a modern mini clubman.

I've gone cold on the Cube I have to say. Too Round.

If I wanted to do it properly import Mini from Japanland.

    Or, even better, MX5

the mini's from japland are rovers.. hardly a 'new' version.

uncanny! that cube is the closest thing to a new clubman. BMW fumbled it so very badly.

Blame Frank Stephenson. he designed the thing.

His other designs include the 612 Scaglietti, Ford Thunderbird remake, Maserati MC12...and the Quattroporte.

So, one out of five ain't terrible. But seriously, the guy ain't good.

The Clubman's rear is so weird that I really can't like it other than the fact that it's a LWB Mini Cooper.

My want factor. it has acheived it. Even if it would likely kill me and scatter my body parts across 3 continents.

Imagined conversation between officials and owner:

"you're making the kids with HSV's feel butthurt, you're going to have to leave, sir"

    "WTF? it's standard, bro"
