since when is tire spelled 'tyer'. that bothers me for some reason. over here, we spell it like this: t-i-r-e. thats just the way we spell it over across the pond.

hee-hee I'm so used to my typos I didn't even notice that
I'd seen it as tyre, as used in the joke.

    Speaking of jokes...
It could be worse. With the old Rover P5 the tyre and jack were mounted under the rear floor and if you had a puncture on a rear wheel you didn't have enough clearance to get the jack out......

I popped a tyre on the way over from Perth.. so I had to empty my car of aaaalll my stuff so that the jack would lift the car. That sucked.. especially since I was half an hour away from the destination and it was super damn warm and humid.

CG, 'tyre' is used by everyone outside of north america.. and some within.

Really? I just say round thingy that spins quickly depending on speed and road conditions.

She was actually refering to the use of tyer, not tyre.

And y'all haven't changed a tire until you changed a tractor tire. That sucks. I remember this one winter when...

I was going to attempt to change a tire (an off-roading truck tire), but realized that it was going to be a very, very, long tire change. So, I didn't touch it, and my boss and two other co-workers had tried to pry it off but with no success.
