I'd say, nevermind the cars being faster in the past, the drivers have much more "testicular fortitude" in the past to do some of the things they used to do in the past.....I think that's not as debatable.....not to say maybe some of the guys today can't do what they used to do, but I'd bet less are are willing to do that....whether thats better or worse is up for debate...

It is way cheaper to create a ground effect car and make it go as fast as today's F1 cars. But it is not really safe.

So I would say SAFETY > COST CUTTING

In any case I would be really curious to see a F1 car with no weight restrictions, no aero restrictions on diffusers / floor / ground effect / skirts / wings, qualifying tyres, unrestricted engines, active suspension.

In fact I really think it would be a good Marketing idea for firms such as Red Bull. Create such a car and test it privately on F1 tracks to see the lap difference (sponsors would die to get a piece of this).

I am afraid, thought that the driver would faint from the excessive g like fighter jet passengers do...

KFL will be pleased to do that (with RedBull's Money that is).
Kidty will drive the uber-car, so no probs if he faints and crash...

Well, Takuma Sato would be a good alternative, because he's going to crash it even if he doesn't faint
