    Is USF1 SOL for 2010?

"The media in Argentina is reporting that the US F1 team has ground to a halt – and that Jose Maria Lopez is now trying desperately to find an alternative seat for this season.

It’s said that ‘with tears in his eyes’ USF1 guiding light Peter Windsor told Lopez, his father and his close associate – F1 TV producer Felipe McGough – that the team will miss the first three races of the season and probably thus the whole championship."

What a mess. I wonder how the likes of Martin Birrane and David Richards are looking at this situation.
If you should see a man walking down a crowded street talking aloud to himself, don't run in the opposite direction, but run towards him, because he's a poet. You have nothing to fear from the poet - but the truth.

    most likely not jointly

Let me say that probably they don't care anymore. F1 proved to be a circus of fools, not sure if there is any reason to joint it anymore.
Money comes to mind, but I don't know if that so sure either.

Other than that, if only GT and prototypes championships would be more covered by medias and TV, F1 would be almost dead.

In a way, it would be interesting to see how people would react if for another year the big names would loose the titles. Over here, with 90% of enthusiasts being just red tifosi, F1 took a deep hit last year.
Same goes with MotoGP, everyone watches it now that Ducati can win. It made a conspicuous difference even when Ducati just joined the championship.

Supposedly there's still a pulse....but still mysteriously muddled news.

Have you guys read the latest from the Horse Wisperer, or something like that?
It does have some points, but how about employing someone who can actually write without looking like a revolted teenager trying sarcasm?
Would it be possible, to play forever?
The conclusion reached was that a player is inevitably doomed to lose.

I prefered the quote of the day about that article at Jalopnik.
"Religious belief is the “path of least resistance”, says Boyer, while disbelief requires effort."

"SPEEDtv.com has learned that the struggling start-up USF1 Formula 1 team has formally petitioned the FIA to defer the team's entry into the sport until 2011.

Team principals Ken Anderson and Chad Hurley have offered to post a “substantial, seven-figure” surety bond as proof of their intentions to race next year.

The request for a deferment follows a breakdown in merger discussions between USF1 and the Spanish Campos Meta team. The Serbian-based Stefan GP team also had made overtures about working with USF1, but those talks also failed to yield anything substantive.

It now appears that neither USF1 nor Campos will be on the grid for the season-opener at Bahrain."

actually ferrari do have a valid point. first of all these slow cars, will become quite dangerous in qualifing and while being lapped(how can thses drivers be looking in their mirrors more than in front of them). Second, i dont know what the hell mosley was thinking about when he introduced the budjet caps. I mean everyone is for more teams, but atleast be competitive. i know that also with the ban on testing these teams have zero chance unless the rest of the field crashes or something bizzare happens.

after that final test in catalunya these cars are 5-6 seconds off the pace, which means that they are in a different formula or category.

so bottom line ,before mosley left, he did pretty much to f1 as George Bush did to the global economy .

Ferrari may have had some points in those PRs, but that's not the way to say them.
We all know what Ferrari is and even more important we all know what Ferrari thinks it is, but that doesn't mean it's God's voice and can use such a childish attitude about them.

What about the horrible amount of money they spent for the F60 and the poor results they managed to get? Perhaps the car wasn't that bad, and I actually think Raikkonen did a good job almost keeping the 3rd manufacturer spot for the team all by himself, but that surely not what they were expecting and saying at the beginning of the season.
