Nope! Not at all. Do I sound like a first year MBA student?
Let me be fair with the auto companies, especially GM--the business of auto manufacturing is hard and tough. However, going by Porter's Five Forces, GM should have taken advantage of the economies of scale which they had, and their seller power. They have failed to take advantage of either of those power. In addition, they had the advantage of having a nice learning curve with their experience with the EV-1 electric car, which other competitors may not have been able to replicate easily, since learning costs can be prohibitive to new entrants in an industry. Advantage after advantage has been lost and destroyed by GM, thus, leading to small rivals in the industry either catching up or sometimes overtaking GM in that industry.
No! No! No! Keep it out of the states! Give us the hydrogen and turbodiesel cars instead!
