    A Treasure Trove of Bugattis, circa 1964

    The Bugattis sold to Fritz Schlumpf in 1964 for a mere $84,000 or about $590,000 in todays money. I had no idea so many cars in that famous collection came from the USA, or the Shakespear fishing reels connection. The photos speak of a simpler (and cheaper) time for collectors. Thirty Bugattis for $590K would a bargain of epic proportions today.

    nice find, the Mullin museum is surely worth doing.
    Those were the times when old cars were still second hand cars and not collectibles.

    That is one of the most incredible car collectors stories I've ever seen. Outstanding photos too.
