I apologize - I dunno why I didn't make it more specific.
The RS model has a variant of the gasoline V6 GM High Feature Engine - the LLT - which has 312 hp @ 6,400, and 278 lb·ft (or 377 N·m for those that use metric for cars - I wish I/we did) @ 5200 rpm in rooster's 2011 model (to nudge ahead of the power of the V6s in the Mustang and Challenger).
I thought it was the SS.. if the alternative was the Mustang 5.0, why get a V6 Camaro..?
Life's too short to drive bad cars.
Of course it's an SS. Come on Kitdy.
For henk: 426hp 420lbft / 570 Nm
"Kimi, can you improve on your [race] finish?"
"No. My Finnish is fine; I am from Finland. Do you have any water?"
He even said SBC... I am on the crack hard tonight.
The pic I looked at was post 1 pic #2 -that looks like RS to me, and as far as I've seen, all the RS badges are red, and all the SS badges are white.
Yeah, it's the LS3 then, which is the greatest engine that God has given man...
Except for the LS1 and LS7.
if i recall correctly the L98 has better headwork though.. doesn't seem to get the same kudos as the Ls series

You can tell the V6s and V8s apart by the mail slot in the nose.

Being performance minded you made the wrong choice. I've driven both of these monsters and the new 5.0 is one badass mofo. The Camaro I drove was a SS2 or something, fully loaded with some kind of ground effects package. It looked silly. That beings said, yes it is a very fast car, but for some reason I find the previous generation more fun to drive. Throw on a factory SLP package and nothing ford build except maybe a Cobra could touch it back then.
I had the pleasure to bum around in a 4.6L GT Mustang over the summer with a Hurst and Foose designed wheels and hood. Then I drove a 5.0 and the difference is astonishing. For anyone who has driven a 4.6 the 5.0 is really a new animal.
Anyway congrats on your purchase! It is definitely a fun car and can get you into trouble if you go looking. And there is nothing like gripping the white shift knob of a Hurst. I approve.

so i had to dump acid into the block tank today
i'm afraid to fap
cause i got it on my hands
no idea, i'm not really 'current' with GM stuff i just hear things like that. i do recall people seem to be picking up 50hp just from a retune to premium unleaded? i guess no point releasing it tuned for PULP only and the extra power if the LS3 is already there though.
heh
..sorry
