Ha.....its pretty damn dirty after driving down to Road Atlanta from MI in the rain and parked at the track for a day for the red clay in the area to coat it nicely...

Drove through these roads on the way there and back, the last being the famed "Dragon" at Deal's Gap, where the pics from one of the many local roller coaster photo supplier was taken....

Bone stock, had it for 2 weeks now. Already picked up 2 stone chip...slightly regretting the color choice...

Definitely more fun than my previous chariot of choice(or non-choice), a 1998 Camry, but I think pretty much anything is probably more fun than that...(did its job, drove it all the way through school and it hauls a ton of crap and takes abuse). Now to see if this car can live remotely as reliable as the driving appliance like the Toyota...

No plan for the car aside from maybe pad change and tire change + snows for the winter. Maybe I'll think about chipping it....
The wheels remind me of Lamborghini ones from the late 80s?....Nice! ....My favorite VWs in the modern era are the early '90s Cabriolets. It was the four "headlight" front grill that gripped me at the time. My '87 got 34 mpg (highway) and was peppy via five speed stick!

The wheels seems to be a talking point for many I've talked to....common terms ranges from cookie cutter to flower....and it seems to be a love-hate thing to many....I actually grew to like them more and more, and they fit the "GTI" thing since VW start using this style halfway through last gen's car, and they are easy to clean. But there are downside to them in that the wheels are quite heavy...

I don't think I can ever get 34MPG in this thing....not unless I drive less than 65MPH on the highway...

I like 'em. On my '97 Oldsmobile I had factory five star wheels that were painted. Brake dust etched into the front wheels. At least those are possibly aluminum and can take burning brake debris a little better? I still think those look nice!

Got a really good deal on these, 17x8 ET51, 5x112 BCD, Volk Racing CE28N. Came with tires also, but I am selling them and get some new ones before the spring comes...

I know you're not planning on a drop, but the wheel gaps are slightly large.

Meh, reducing it takes me out of stock class in autocrossing, and that'll make it difficult to be competitive without another few grand in coil overs and power to run with the tuned SRT4s or Cobolt SS.....

Very cool. I like the aggressive look that the headlights give on this particular model. Looks good with the new Volks on too
