This amazing piece of technology was raced in 1974 at the 24 Hours of Le Mans by Yasuhiro Okamoto, Harukuni Takahashi, and Yojiro Terada and it was part of the Mazda Factory efforts. It raced in the S3.0 class and completed 155 laps. It has a 2292cc 12A rotary engine. It completed the entire race but what later classified as a DNF because it did not complete enough laps.
