Most of them are neglected, bathered and destroyed. And why own thousands of cars when you can not drive or maintain them all? What a megalomanic waste.
Well, he was a psychotic murderer. So why does he own so many cars is near the bottom of the list of questions to be asked.
Agreed, but the focus was on his cars here (see subject)
Just can not see the kick in having dozens of cars in a warehouse gathering dust, just for having them. Also, in my opinion it is strange to collect Ferrari's in such not-so-masculine-colours (Ferrari Barbierossa)?
If I had such a ridiculous amount of money, I would only collect the cars I really liked and put them in a private museum. They would get perfectly maintained and of course, driven as they should be. The collection would change depending on my wishes. E.g. like Jay Leno's collection.
Cheers!

Jay Leno is the consummate car guy. His garage and his collection are a clinic in how to be a rich car guy.
"Kimi, can you improve on your [race] finish?"
"No. My Finnish is fine; I am from Finland. Do you have any water?"
The problem with having a "collection" is that you'd never have the time to actually drive all of them, which would annoy the hell out of me.
Unless, of course, you were so super rich that you wouldn't have to work.
Lack of charisma can be fatal.
Visca Catalunya!
