Earlier this month, the Duke of Richmond & Gordon hosted the 30th anniversary edition of the annual Goodwood Festival of Speed. This occasion did not pass unnoticed and other anniversaries celebrated included 75 years of Goodwood as a motorsport venue, 75 years of Lotus and NASCAR, 60 years of McLaren Racing, 50 years of the World Rally Championship and the Le Mans centenary. Taking centre stage was 75-year old German manufacturer Porsche, starring for a record-breaking fourth time on the central feature in front of Goodwood House. All these anniversaries together resulted in a truly spectacular field that included numerous outright Le Mans winners, Grand Prix icons, Can-Am championship winning cars and World Rally legends. In addition to the action on the hill there was the Cartier Style & Luxe Concours d'Elegance, while several supercars made their world debut at Goodwood.
Our photographers were on hand for three of the four scheduled days as the Saturday activities had to unfortunately be cancelled due to adverse weather conditions. As can be seen in our 260-shot gallery that did not dampen the spirits. The class-by-class gallery illustrates a detailed report of all the weekend's highlights.
