I believe the turbo would be the T5, at least it would be here (Australia) as the only turbo model that was on sale was the T5.
that’s not true.. we got the 850s, 850SE, 850GLT, 850 T5, 850R and the LM edition yellow only with black wheels 850 T5-R, the difference between the 850R and 850 T5-R is the T5-R is a FWD, while the 850R is RWD.. they are both Turbo charged and have the same power.Originally Posted by pimento

There's no such thing.
Volvo did produce an all-wheel-drive version of the 850 Wagon/Estate near the end of the 850's production run, but it had nothing to do with the T5/R/T5-R models.

I testdrove a T5R once, very nice ride, but the car is just very very heavy, still surprisingly fast though!

Pardon me, because I may be wrong, but I think that the T5 looks better....it has lairy black alloys, and looks great in yellow! The Turbo has ordinary wheels, with not much extra on the body.... sort of like old-shape BMW 540i compared to the old-shape M5.....
