Ok, this tread is all over the place .

A stock 2001 R34 GTR will run a 12.8 second quarter mile(I have seen it,took 3 runs car had half tank of 98 octane), which intern means it will smoke a Holden Monaro (Pontiac GTO).

We do not asemble any brand of automoble in New Zealand. During 1998 the New Zealand Government decided that tariffs on imported cars would be abolished. This led to the remaining four local assemblers (Toyota, Honda, Nissan, and Mitsubishi) to announce that they would be ceasing local production during and would concentrate on importing instead.

And yes there was a Toyota Celica GTR model but it was only sold in Japan.

We have quite a few used Japanese Imports on our roads (estimateing 30%?), Mitsubishi Evolution’s (1-9), Skylines, Subaru Impreza STI, and all other JDM, are a dime a dozen, hence why new car sales are low compared to other markets.

    Thanks .

Unimpressed than an otherwise legible kiwi would stoop to mimic base seppos via intentional & insultative mis-spell of mOnaro

Sorry about misspelling Monaro genuine mistake.

Didn’t think anyone would compeer a Mitsubishi 3000GT to a Nissan Skyline GTR. Godzilla versus Whale

    "seppos"?
