"We used to come down, doing about 180mph. We take off over the bridge and change down to 4th gear in the air. Go through the righthander with the car drifting, and let it swing out through the lefthander and then slide out to the wall, where we simply stopped it with a flick of the wrists"

The Datto will rage again...
Well, I know this thread was a big joke, but seriously, where do you people get that an R33 would cost nearly $70,000?
Here is your typical R33 GT-R with the shipping costs!

That would mean, if your $70,000 theory held up, That would be about $40,000 worth of emission and EPA changes to make the car legal. Come on people, think a little bit!
It's not really that much of an emissions problem. It's the issue of documenting and registering the car, as well as an essentially necessary LHD conversion.Originally Posted by Vassar
Still, you've made a good point. I think this thread needs to die though... For motorer1's sake

Importing of Skyline
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Howzit..
I saw your post and i'm very interested in following you and importing one myself. I'm in South Africa where Skylines are very Rare and not many people know how awesome the cars are. The only ones you find here is 200Sx'es and 300ZX. Would you mind in mentioning more or less what you payed and what year/mileage etc Stacy is?
Any help will be much appreciated. I searched the web all over but struggle to find any decent sites offering Skylines to buy...
Regards,
Butha
Man, that's hilarious! +2 for sharing that with usOriginally Posted by Motorer1
