    New Quattro!

Hey guys, i finally did it.

1983 UR Quattro, upgraded ECU, downpipe, exhaust, brakes, some other junk.

I put a down payment on it Saturday and should have it sometime next week, perhaps.

Some early pics, off Ebay until I can take my own.

    And Iraaaaaaaaaaaan

    Iran's so far awaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay...

Looks nice, apart from the ugly US bumper enlargements.
Not what I had in mind when you said "gold" in the other thread.
    Should be fun.
    Thanks for all the fish

This one isn't gold, technical name for it is "Zermatt Silver" and it does look a little gold, in the right light.

I assumed that was the "Gold Quattro" from the other thread.

yeah, ended up finding another one in fine condition and closer...i can't wait, neither can my right foot!

yeah, all the Ur-quattro's were turboed 5 cyl, the Coupe gt was fwd and N/A. Some Germans Ur coupes came NA and quattro, but none in the US.

The guy I bought it from said there are only 80 remaining on the road in the US....could that be possible?

HMMM...could be, I haven't seen one on the road for a while. If it is true, hold on to it for as long as you can, it's bound to go up in value.
