I remember when the 959 first came out. Autoweek Magazine called it back then "The car of the century!" It was the most advanced car at the time and the first ever Porsche to use AWD I believe. I'd love to have one in my garage But being a Ferrari lover, I'd get the F40 first, then the 959.

porsche put so much into the 959 that they lost money on every one.

I'll take a 959 to go, please. Guards red or black.
Countach. early type. Give me one in bright yellow and I'll be very happy.

Ferrari F40, the last car Enzo had anything to do with I think...but the 959 WAS the most technologiclly advanced car of its day...still, F40
The F40 is a amazing car, one of my favourite ferraris, but you have to give it to the 959. The Countach is an atrocious car to drive (say many) so that is out of the question. I know the F40 was faster than the 959 but you don't see many F40s taking on the Paras-Dakar rally do you. Plus, over 1300 F40s were built compared to 280 odd for the 959. I have never seen a 959 on the road but I have seen many F40s and Countachs.Originally Posted by taz_rocks_miami

And your quote there is true, you would get the F40 first because 959s are very rarely up for market.
200 of 959 produced, according to wheels mag. but still, i choose F40.

I'd take the Lamborghini, it started an era, defined a genre and despite the inarguable speed and rarity of the others, is just more desireable to me.
If you had the money to buy one you would see that it is an awful car. This won't bother True Car enthusiasts though. I have sat in a Countach. There is literally no rear visability and the cockpit is cramped. But those doors allow some attractive parking and of course the sound produced by that V12 would certainly win me over.Originally Posted by scubasteve87
