Yeah, if we're taking it that way I guess the Elise could be called second cause nothing can catch it with its incredible steering abilities on the streets

The fastest car which someone is most likely to buy is the koeinigsegg.

As far as I know the Bugatti was tested in a straight line. The Koenigsgg on Nardo.
plus. The Veyrons record isn't official. However... I'm not saying it isn't... But as Wouter stated, the car isn't in production, thus making this rather pointless.
PR-wise it is a good move from VW though.

In terms of top speed the Ultima isn't a match for the Bugatti et al, but in terms of acceleration (0-60, 0-100, 0-100-0) the Ultima GTR640 is currently the quickest.

we will see what the Ferrari FFX`s top speed is now....it surely seems as if it will be one of the fastest in the world with 800 bhp and all those aerodynamics

only one person has mentioned the 9ff, which if you knew about it on a banked track which slowed it down it beat the Mclaren and could, on a flat course beat anything else, with a six cylinder engine, who said size matters?
