Why are people complaining german cars have no soul... Have you ever driven an 80s audi quattro, m3 or 190 2.3/2.5 16v just to list a few. The newer ones are different maybe. When it comes to saloons tho, germany is in a class of its own.

German cars are too predictable, bland and overly perfect. Adding to that the horrible "flaming surface" design being used for some years by BMW, recent hideous creations by Audi, monsters (and I don't mean their power output ) like R-Class or S-Class. They also have only big sports car maker, Porsche. Summing up, german cars are not-too-good-looking machines without a bit of soul, that need to be equipped with ridiculously powerful engines to attract real attention.
One the Italians perfected their manufacturing processes and achieve something close to what the Germans made, they too will have cars without 'soul'. Too perfect.

I don't want my car to have a soul, it's not a humanbeing. I want my car to have good handling, a nice looking body and a high quality interior. If I'm looking for a ''soul'' I turn to other people, and not cars.

edit: Hey. And since when is a car ''too perfect''. What is that?
    All I need: Audi S8 & Porsche 911 Carrera S

If the car 'speaks' to you through beautiful looks, nice handling and if it makes you feel special, then I'd say that constitutes as soulful... I mean, every German car made today has more soul than a Moulinex blender or Kia Rio.

And I agree on the 'too perfect' thing- we complain when cars aren't perfect, then when they are, it's unnacceptable

Saying a car is 'too perfect' is a way of saying, 'Mine is worse, but I'm gunna try and make out as if it's meant to be'.

I want the perfect car. It has to have good balance, great handling, great looks, very fast, very practical. That's why I want a BMW M or Audi RS

I need something I can fit 3 groupies, 2 guitars, a huge amp and some alcohol in. You'll only get the alcohol in the Exige- the amount you Aussies drink would take up my passenger seat

So I need an estate. Or a very big saloon. I need power, lots of it. I need some street-cred, but it can't scream, "LOOK AT ME!!!!!!", because that's not the way I go about things

    I just think it's funny:

Some people like German brands, 'cause they make good cars, some close to perfect.

Other don't like German cars, saying they're ''too perfect''.

So we seem to understand eachother: perfect.

there is still space in the cabin behind the seats or you could just section off part of the tray

Actually, I had a Monaro VXR 6.0 behind me today. I was having kittens. I looked in my rearview, and just saw this fat pair of camel nostrils I was like, "ZOMGWTFBBQLOLOLOLOL!" and Mum was like, "The light's gone green. Move."
