Lack of charisma can be fatal.
Visca Catalunya!
I think its natural for the final model of a series to be the most favourite etc. The design is well known by then, the company has usually gotten the most out of it etc, and perhaps more importantly they were flogging them off for cheaper in anticipation for the all new model!

The Datto will rage again...
Nah not just that.. But the VL looked different,, The VB-VC same VH slight change but still the same. VK was VB with plastic.. The VL just had a shape change to it without really spending the $$$ that i'm sure they didnt have back then, I also thought back then they couldn't do a great deal from there base opel cars except length width etc.
Like these pics VC sle-VK-Calais-VL-Calais with gay wheels

OK, continuing on with the photos from the 2007 All Ford Day.
This time with some 90s and 00s hot Falcons.
1. 1992 Ford Falcon EB GT.
2 & 3. 1997 Ford Falcon EL GT.
4. 1997 Ford Falcon EL XR6.
5. 2001 Ford Falcon AU XR6.
6. 2006 Ford FPV Falcon BF Typhoon.
UCP's biggest Ford Sierra RS500 and BMW M3 E30 fan. My two favourite cars of all time.
More Fords.
1. A tarmac rally spec Capri.
2. A Cortina TD (Mk 3 elsewhere) - Cortinas were built in Australia and many were fitted with the six clyinder 3.3 litre and 4.1 litre engines from the Falcon. These mid-1970s Cortina sixs were often described by the motoring press as having "lethal" handling.
3. A Cortina TE Mk 4 six. The handling was improved over the Mk 3, but the press still weren't impressed.
4 & 5. A early 1960s Ford Zephyr Mark 3. Similar in size to the Australian built Falcon XK, and offered as a slightly more upmarket alternative.
6. A 2006 Ford Mustang GT500

Some fast Sierras:
1, 2 & 3. 1987 Ford Sierra RS500 (this was the evolution version with larger turbo and extra front and rear lip spoilers).
4 & 5. Ford Sierra RS (this is the earlier car which misses the RS500s front and rear lip spoilers).
6. Ford Sapphire RS Cosworth.
Worth noting that none of the above cars appeared to be standard. All had modifications of some sort.

More Falcons this time.
1, 2 & 3. The mythical 1972 Ford Falcon XA GT Phase 4. This is the car that was to replace the Falcon XY GTHO as Ford's Bathurst contender until a media outcry about "killer" high performance cars cause Ford (and Holden and Chrysler) to abandon their planned Bathurst cars due to the ensuing public and political outcry. This is one of the pre-production cars that made it out the door before the car was abandoned, and was destined to be Alan Moffat's Bathurst car. It never raced.
4. Falcon XR GT. It is now 40 years since the Falcon GT legend started in 1967 with this model.
5 & 6. Falcon XC Cobra.

funny, these cars look so familiar and yet I haven't seen a single one of those....(except the Sierra and the Ford Zephyr...)

Last batch of photos from the 2007 All Ford day.
1. 1982 Ford Falcon XE ESP - last of the Falcon 351 5.8 litre V8s. No Falcons were sold with V8 engines until the Windsor 5.0 litre V8 was introduced in the Falcon EB. Ford Australia lost a lot of enthusiast following to Holden as the result of its decision to drop the Cleveland 351 V8. These ESP have started to gain something of a cult following and are now selling for anything from A$10,000 to A$20,000.
2. 1978 Ford Falcon XC.
3. Mid 1970s Ford Falcon XB Wagon
4. 1971 Ford Fairmont XY Wagon
5. Early 1970s Ford Falcon XA GT
6. 2001 Ford Falcon TE50
