Page 1 of 1 In the mid 1960s the Dieppe based Alpine introduced a new model, the A110. For the mechanicals, Alpine again relied on Renault's components. The Renault engine was mounted rearward and the backbone chassis was covered by a fiberglass body.
Fine handling combined with a powerful engine made the A110 , and specifically the 1600 S Group 4, a serious competitor in motor races. The Group 4 features a specially tuned engine and modified bodywork. These small blue racers took victory in world famous rallies like the Rallye Monte Carlo. Page 1 of 1
