Click here to download printer friendly versionThis is the Honda RA273, as raced in the 1966 and 1967 F1 seasons. This was Honda's first car after the minimum displacement was doubled from 1.5 litres to 3 litres and it was not as as succesfull as the 1.5 litre RA272 it replaced. The RA273 was powered by 3 litre V12 engine that produced about 400 bhp. The RA273 was much too heavy, it weight 200 kilos than was allowed. It wasn't a very succesfull car, best placings were 3rd in South Africa in 1967 and 4th once in each season.
