Click here to download printer friendly versionThis is the McLaren M4B. The McLaren M4 was designed at first for F2 and later on for F3 by Robin Herd. The McLaren M4B was a one-off F1 stand-in based on the M4 for the 1967 F1 season. It was powered by a 2.1 litre BRM V12 engine that reguired to extra fuel tanks on each side of the car. It was raced in 5 races by Bruce McLaren. His best result was fourth in the Monaco GP. It was destroyed after it was damaged in the Dutch GP.
