This engine was fitted in a BRM built chassis. A Rover BRM car was already entered in the 1963 and 1964 race but with little succes. All was going well in the 1965 when Hill came in the pits with severe overheating problems. The problem was traced down to damaged compressor vanes, the damage was caused by a 'foreign body' entering the intake. With a loss of 13% of power the car finished 10th overall.
