The M18 was outclassed by Mike Hailwood's Surtees, winning only two of the 16 Championship races it was entered in by Brian Redman. Graham McRea was to run an M18 as well but his deal fell through and he ran a updated M10B and won 3 races. Power came from a stock 5 litre V8 engine.
