This situation has been addressed by the introduction of the Turbo Florio, shown for the first time at the 2015 Geneva International Motor Show. The creatively chosen name is a reference to the Targa Florio, which inspired the Targa name in the first place.

As the name suggests, Ruf have combined the Targa body-style with a forced-induction flat six. Based on the Porsche 911 Turbo engine, it has been further modified to produce a staggering 620 bhp, which is even more than the range-topping 911 Turbo S. Torque is also up, to a staggering 824 Nm.

Ruf offers the Turbo Florio with a choice of a six-speed manual or a seven-speed, dual clutch automatic gearbox. Customers can also choose for all-wheel drive or if they are particularly brave for rear-wheel drive only.
