Click here to download printer friendly version2019 was one of the most successful years for the KTM X-BOW GT4, racing GT4 championships worldwide since 2016. Besides winning the overall competition in “Australian GT” and “GT4 South” in Europe, it’s especially the prestigious ADAC GT4 Germany title, marking the biggest achievement of the lightweight racing car so far.

However, being involved in a fierce competition with the most famous sports car manufacturers of the world, standing still is already a step back. Therefore, REITER ENGINEERING and KTM have moved the borders of evolution even further, developing a car that’s holding even more winning potential: The KTM X-BOW GT4 EVO model is “Ready To Race” for the 2020 season!

“Knowing the performance characteristics of the KTM X-BOW GT4 as being a superior car in terms of cornering speed and braking performance, we’ve developed the EVO model for 2020, that’s moving the performance window of the car carefully from those attributes into the direction of an increased straight-line speed. This will provide the KTM X-BOW GT4 EVO customers with better overtaking possibilities at any level of driving skills, making them more competitive in the tight competition of SRO series around the world” explains Reiter Engineering boss Hans Reiter.

“We’ve been listening carefully to our customers during the past seasons and we’ve put a huge effort into providing them with an upgrade that would be most beneficial”, adds Reiter. His words are reflecting the new features of the car: An increased engine power output of up to 375 hp for SRO GT4 series or even up to 440 hp for open championships; changed tire size to 265/645 18 on all four wheels; reduction of front and rear downforce to balance the car better in terms of the relation between cornering and straight line speed as well as reduction of drag and adjustment of the car weight for SRO GT4 series.

“Based on our experience, we know that the KTM X-BOW GT4 EVO is perfectly suited to increase the competitiveness of the drivers, no matter if gentleman or professional racer. It will enable drivers to fight for positions on straight lines yet providing still enough stability and performance under cornering and braking” emphasizes Hans Reiter the goals behind the development work.

Of course, all existing KTM X-BOW GT4 cars are ready to be equipped with the upgrade package, making them EVO models as well. Furthermore, the 440 hp engine kit is also available as a stand-alone accessory part, providing additional power for track-day drivers or participants in non-SRO-sanctioned racing series worldwide. The EVO upgrade kit for the 2020 KTM X-BOW GT4 includes a wide range of additional accessory parts (e.g. drive shafts, engine mounts, etc.) that are offered for the customers as well.

“Having the winning spirit of 2019 season still in mind gives us very positive expectations for 2020. We are convinced that we succeed in having fulfilled our customers requirements“, concludes Hans Reiter.
