Page 1 of 1 At the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, Toyota showcased a pair of camouflaged front-engined GT prototypes in road-going and full racing trim respectively. This high profile debut comes after months of testing the competition version at international race tracks like Fuji and Spa Francorchamps.
Although no further details were given, it was undoubtedly a preview of the upcoming GT3 racer from the Toyota Motor Corporation. As such, it is the replacement of the Lexus RC F GT3 that was first introduced back in 2014 and was still raced in Evo form during the 2025 season. Whether the new GT3 car will be badged a Lexus again or a Toyota was also not confirmed.
There were no technical details released either but eagle eyed listeners at Goodwood noticed a distinct V8 engine note, so it could be powered by an evolution of the existing V8. For homologation purposes, a road car will also be produced, which will fill the spot of the highly acclaimed Lexus LFA.
