Chassis:
The final R8R constructed, chassis 308 was one of three examples built to the Le Mans specification. Driven by Biela, Pirro and Theys, it placed third at Le Mans, scoring Audi's very first of many podium finishes in the '24 Hours'. In 2000, it was pressed back into service for the Charlotte and Silverstone ALMS rounds, finishing sixth and fourth respectively. Chassis 308 has since been restored to its Le Mans configuration and is seen here in the hands of Emanuele Pirro during the 2009 Goodwood Festival of Speed where Audi celebrated the 10th anniversary of their Le Mans debut.
