Following its Le Mans career, the record holder passed into the hands of longtime WM sponsor Heuliez. Following a substantial restructuring of its business, the French company decided to part with its entire collection during the Artcurial's 2012 Le Mans Classic Auction. The WM P88 is sold without an engine but we understand that Gerard Welter still has the original engine and is willing to offer it separately. The estimate for this unique piece of Le Mans history is a very reasonable EUR 150,000 - 250,000.
