Chassis:
This Capri was retained by Zakspeed and displayed at the company's facility for many years. Some years ago, it was restored to full running order sporting the livery of Klaus Ludwig's 1981 DRM Championship winning machine. We believe this to be the car used that as well but we can not be entirely sure as the individual history of the Zakspeed Capris is a little sketchy. Plans to demonstrate the restored car were sadly put on hold due to Zakspeed's serious financial problems. Fortunately the issues were finally ironed out and at the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed the striking Capri made its first public appearance for many years, in the hands of Klaus Ludwig.
